RCD Residual Current Devices
RCDs or residual current devices are a safety feature designed to reduce the probability of electric shocks occurring in your home or premises.

RCDs automatically cut the power if a fault occurs with the wiring system, someone touches a live electrical part, or a faulty appliance is used.

At least two RCDs are required by law if you rent or sell your property.
We can separate circuits within your property allowing some lights and power points to remain working even when power to a faulty circuit is cut.
RCDs are also required to be tested at least every three months. This can be done by the homeowner or landlord simply by pressing the test button to confirm that the RCD is working correctly.
